Default Not doing 'mod' stuff anymore

I guess that changing my "title" under my avatar wasn't obvious enuff, as I'm still getting some requests from people who want me to do some mod duties....

I recently turned my mod badge in, so you guys no longer need to treat me with the enormous deference that you should have been bestowing on me for the last 14 months.

My reasons primarly centre around that fact that numerous things are conspiring to allow me much less time for doing the job (I typically spend 2 to 3 hrs on the job throughout the day).

Thanks to everyone who has helped / supported me in doing the often unpleasant duties 'round here. To any one whom I have p'd off in the past - sorry - nothing personal (unless you were that guy !!!)

Please do have patience with, and provide whatever support you can for, the remaining mods. They are doing a job that can be tough at the best of times; right now they are doing it without many of the tools that the mod's used to have in the old RCU - so if they don't notice your "Contact Moderator" report until the 2nd or 3rd time you submit it, or if they seem to be taking a long time to respond, etc - there could be a very valid reason for it.

Later guys,
Gordon

I know the mods will miss Gordon's uncommon sense. I think the general membership will because he is the one who usually had the exact right response or idea. RCU is worse off for his departure. Fortunately, he will still be around and he won't have his hands tied due to being a mod....so watch out if you're talking some bull****!

Thanks buddy.......

I thought BS'ing was what this whole hobby was about!

Anyway thanks Gordon for the amount of work you have done here. I know it is a thankless job and you can't always make everybody happy, but I think you were most fair in the way you applied the rules. Don't leave us completely though. You have a lot of experience and knowledge that us newer guys need to tap into.
