rc10 gt trading questions
i am getting the itch for something new and i put my truck in the cklassifieds hoping to trade it for a 4wd truck. what should i be looking for in value for a trade? i have a ft with ae 15 engine and steel pinion and spur from robinson racing and a lynx radio plus lots of extra wheels and tires and extra suspensions for the front and rear. what i want to know is am i out of line wanting a maxx,or savage or dominator? or is it not worth that much? i now have moved to a house with lots of grass so i thought bigger would be better. am i shooting to high in value or should i settle for a duratrax or cen or something? also how about a comparison in value to a used 1/8th scale buggy. i've never had one of those. what buggies would be of equal value to my truck?
thanks

You wont get what you have in it back, none of us ever do in this hobby. I would guess at around $150 or so, $200 tops if it is in excellent condition. A good place to check would be ebay, check completed auctions to get an idea of what GT's are going for.
I sold one recently and grabbed $180 for it.

RE: rc10 gt trading questions
i thought it was a team truck because of the cvd's and blue aluminum shocks but the shock towers are plastic and it has the body from a plus. i traded here on rcu for it about 6 months ago. it has an ae 15ps engine and a hitec lynx radio...also plus features i think. what else can i look for to identify it? it has the flat blue alum chassis too. i may give up on the trade idea because i like the truck and it is fast and i'm a little worried about getting screwed in a trade. so far ive traded about 5 or 6 times on rcu and one was really crappy one was okay and 4 were really good. i guess you always take a risk. the truck just doesn't seem happy on all my new grass.
has anyone ever put bigger tires on one to get better ground clearance? i have a 16/66 steel spur and pinion set on it now. think i will be okay putting the rims and tires from my blackfoot on it?
one last question... anyone know the power rating on the ae .15? the truck hauls but i don't have any on-road experience to compare it to.

based upon the chassis, shock towers, and engine - i promise you that it is an RTR version. someone just replaced the dogbones with CVD's - the blue aluminium shocks are also RTR - the factory team has dark gray shocks.
As for as power out put, The engine thats in it is from thunder tiger, and hp numbers are almost impossible to derive, since they can be drasticallyt different depending on variables. The engine is about as powerful as a OS .12CV-R - its a quickie!
