Hey Buckeye-Fans!

Short update on our T-2.It was picked up from my workshop a couple of weeks ago, but It hasn't flown yet since the owner has to sort out some issues issues with the weight first. The plane came out way heavier than we expected so it is likely we cannot fly without admission for model airplanes heavier than 55lbs here in Germany.

Will post more updates once I receive some news.

Any news on how these flew?

I just acquired one and I was surprised at how much nose weight it needed to CG about 1cm infront of the center of the wing tube.

Hi,

Meanwhile a couple of these have flown here in Germany, two owned by good friends of mine. Let me know whatever you want to know. Its a very smooth flyer, no bad habits just the CG needs to be right - sucks to fly it nose heavy.

Tuggs!!

Yes!!

Please tell me how, and where, did you put the CG?

How much fuel in the tank when you CG’d it?

Did you like the throws?

Let me double check the CG position. I'll get back to you tomorrow. The throws are fine, but we only used half flaps to land as it slows down very nicely. We are using 2x2 liters of fuel next to the turbine (in front of the wing tube). The setup with the fuel tank behind the wing tube is just crazy.

Thank you Tuggs!

Very successful flight today.

I put the CG in the middle of the wing tube and it was still a touch nose heavy, but very comfortable to fly.

As this was a “remainden,” I kept the gear out until I trimmed both take off and landing flaps flight modes. It took about 400 ft to rotate with the P100’s. This felt too underpowered. I’m not sure I could fly comfortably with one engine. I’m going to try to fit 2 180’s. I have two throttle limiters in forms of thumbs.

Once I got the gear up, it finally got on step. This first flight was really informative. Malcom’s CG of right on the wing tube was very safe, with about 2 liters in the tank.

I really like the look of this jet and how unique it is. I used the recommended throws and I was very happy with them.

Joey! I added a smoke system, so I knew I had to check a few things, so I just wanted to double check. It is my humble opinion of 20-30 mm I front of the wing spar (with 2 liters of fuel in the tank BEHIND the cg) is WAY too nose heavy.

More info coming as I get this cool jet dialed in.

Raf,
Not sure the pipes will handle 180 size turbines, maybe 140's

Was great to see that thing fly Rav! Happy to be part of helping you get it sorted with Carlos!

Until next time

Yes, thank you everyone!

I think I’m going to put my B300F that I’ve got sitting on a shelf with it.

I’ll need a new bifurcated pipe Joey!!

Hello all,

before you put 2 x 180 in this, you should watch this first..

This was the very first Prototype with 2 IQ Hammer...... this was also before we adjust the thrust angle...

I made new formers and have the b300f lined up with the same thrust lines as the p100’s.

Peter at banana hobbies made me a beautiful bifurcated pipe!

I need to post a pic of the pipe dimensions so that anyone else who may need one can get have the specs. I asked Peter to make me a robust pipe, with thicker metal.

Nicely done!

Now, we need a nice clear and calm day to fly her again.
