Default Binding a remote rx

I have an SPMAR8020 rx and am attaching an SPM4651 remote rx. The remote has a bind button and the manual says to bind it to the tx. Of course the rx must be bound, but is it really necessary to bind the remote too? If so, in what sequence should they be bound?

The remote is just another receiver and if you don't teach it the GUID (Globally Unique ID) of your transmitter it will ignore it.

Plug in the remote, and put everything into bind mode and bind it.
