There is an interesting story about a P-47 Pilot coming in low over snow covered and lumpy terrain...actually grazing the ground and skipping from one high spot to the next, bent prop, crushed belly and still saving enough momentum to climb out of that predicament and return home.

I am trying to decide if that pilot was more terrified or embarrassed ! hahahahahah I can see his crew being happy and mad !
