Default Converting CBM F-16 to Electric

Does anyone know if this is a worthwhile venture?

Default Converting CBM F-16 to Electric

I have run the numbers many times. Robert Wagner (Electric Jet Factory) did it with some limited success. At 20 cells it would be relatively light but anemic, at 30+ cells it would rock but weigh around 12+ lbs. For 30+ cells go with a motor with 600 rpm/volt and try to spin a 10" prop around 16,000 rpm.

Default RE: Converting CBM F-16 to Electric

It seems like this conversion only comes alive using LiPoly batteries of at leadst 8200mah and a 700 kv motor capable of 1300-1400 watts. Looking at it this way, the conversion can be done at 8.0 pounds. The LiPoly cess would be something like an 8s4p, a 27 cell equivalent at just over 40 ounces. [&:]
