RE: 30% Carden Extra 30 Plans
I apologize for going off topic here but....
About a year ago, my cousin asked me if I wanted a 35% Carden Cap (dumb question). He said a buddy of his was cleaning out his shop to make room for new projects and that Cap was gonna have to go. The day after we go and pick it up I was looking at it and determined it was the old style Cap. It's a BEAUTIFUL airplane, don't get me wrong. It was professionally built, and he had it flying about a year. I was looking in the fuse, and it's all foam. That puzzled me alot. I would have figured it would have been built up like other Cardens. The plane is kinda heavy too. Warren (my cousin) said that it flew fantastic though, for being as heavy as it is. If someone also has an old style Cap, could they tell me if their fuse is made from lots of foam or is it stick and truss built. I'm almost tempted to build a new fuse, but that may be a while. I need to quit buying pattern stuff and get it flying first. Again, sorry for going off topic, but this caught my eye as it was somewhat related and this had been bugging me for a while. Thanks in advance.
