Default Need a quiet RC boat

Hi, I need an electric RC boat that will go about 10 ft/sec (3m/sec) as quietly as possible. Its only purpose is to be a platform for a GoPro. I’ll only be using it under light wind conditions. I’m hoping for a little advice for where to start. Thanks

Just about any boat would work as a camera platform. I would recommend a boat of at least 36" for stability reasons. It sounds like you need something that isn't very quick since you're looking at less than 7MPH. Are you looking at a ready to run or would you consider building something out of wood?

Thanks for your response. I have experience building models but I’m also open to buying something. As far as materials, I’ve seen a lot of diy projects made with insulation foam and fiberglass. Appearance is low on the list of priorities. The sort of things I’d like advice on are size, hull shape and choice of motor. I’m wondering if a catamaran might also be a good choice and would a shrouded prop be any quieter than an open one.

A vee hull or cat would both work. Not sure why you would need a shrouded prop, that is unless you plan on an airboat. A boat with an underwater prop wouldn't need any kind of shroud.
Would one of these work?

I was thinking that a shrouded prop would be less likely get tangled up with seaweed. I’m guessing that a catamaran would be less likely to capsize.
