Default Pt-40 conversion help please

I have a Great Planes Pt-40 I'm converting to electric. I already have the motor mounted just trying to sort out the ESC connection to the rx.

I'm trying to do this on the cheap without buying all new radio and rx both of which are Futaba circa 1989. My big question is regarding the new ESC and wether or not it will power the servos. The original setup has a small battery plugged into the rx that powers the servos. Do you guys know if the new ESC will be able to send power to the servos?

The rx is a Futaba FP-R114H and the ESC is a 60A Classic from RC electric parts. Com.

Thanks in advance for the help

if thats an old AM radio I am not sure its safe to use any more? I think the frequency was real wide ..and would pick up interference easy..I started in the 90's, and I think all my original radios from then are obsolete...

I think there are some decent cheap radios out there now...
