Default Engine size for a biplane

Hello everyone.
I need an advice
I'm building an Ultimate biplane with a wing span of 160cm (about 62 inces). Total weight should be around 5.5kg ( 12 pounds), may be a little less. It is a fiberglass kit from Sebino Model (the company no longer exist)
The producer claims that it is suitable for engines from 25 to 30 cc (.150 to .180) and I have available an Supertigre 3000 glow (30cc-.180").
However I spoke with another modeller which has flown the same model with a 35cc OS that says that my Supertigre engine will not be enough for 3D flight.
Do any of you believe he is right? if so, any advice on a suitable engine?
Michele from Italy

I would go with a 50cc -55cc gas engine on that.
