Can't get transmitter to connect to receiver!!
I am new to RC heli's and just bought the E Sky Lama V4 Helicopter. The transmitter is not connecting to the receiver. There is a little red light on the transmitter that is supposed to blink for the first 3 seconds it is on sending a signal to the heli, but itdoes not blink, it just stays solid. I have tried binding and what not but have had no luck, please help me out. Thanks a lot....

I'm assuming this is the 2.4ghz version? What did you try step by step? Also, is this the first time you've tried to start it? Make sure the throttle and throttle trim are both all the way down.

Hi,
I'm not real familiar with that heli, but I'll try.
Yes, make sure that your throttle stick is ALL the way down. There's a safety built in and the Rx won't arm if the throttle is not at 0.
Remember always: Transmitter on first and off last
1. Tx on first
2. Power up heli
3. Fly
4. Unplug heli battery
5. Tx off

RE: Can't get transmitter to connect to receiver!!
The heli was flying fine, I have done everything in the order that you guys said. I powered everything off to charge the battery, when I turned the transmitter back on, then the heli, it just does not respond to the transmitter. I dont think that the transmitter is connecting to the receiver at all. There is a little red light on the transmitter that is supposed to blink for the first 3 seconds to show that it is connecting to the heli. That light does not blink anymore when the transmitter is turned on, it just stays solid.

Are you sure the battery is fully charged then? Do you have a volt/multi meter to check it?
How long did you fly it the first time? Did you keep flying it until it couldn't take off anymore? My reason for asking is that the lipo battery that comes with these cannot be discharged below 3v without damaging them.

RE: Can't get transmitter to connect to receiver!!
I probly flew it for only 10min. It could still easily lift off the ground and I know that the battery is fine. I think its the tx, not the heli and battery. A little light used to blink on it when first turned on, and now that little light does not blink anymore. According to the instructions this is what that means, "The indicator of the 2.4G transmitter will twinkle for 3 seconds, which indicates that the transmitter is sending code binding information." So now that the light does not blink, it does not connect to the receiver.

It's possible that it's not blinking because the receiver has no power and therefore can't send a signal back.
Don't discount the battery, I've heard of too many noobs who've ruined their battery on the first flight, which is why I asked that particular question. Check the battery with a volt meter to be sure. Unless the transmitter batteries are low or you dropped it there is no reason for the tx to just suddenly stop working.
*edit* btw, 10 minutes is pushing it for this heli. I'd suggest you not fly for more than 8 minutes.

RE: Can't get transmitter to connect to receiver!!
I just put all brand new batteries in the tx and it did not help. I am a noob with the helicopter itself, but not with the batteries. I use lipos for airsofting, and the volt meter said its a little over 9v. It was not a straight 10min flight, since it was my first flight I was just trying to get used to it and go very slow.

At this point then I'm not sure what would be wrong. If both batteries are fully charged and you didn't crash or break the transmitter then there's no reason why it shouldn't work when you follow the steps outlined in the first few posts.
The only thing I can suggest is that you recheck the receiver to make sure everything is plugged in correctly, make double sure that both the throttle AND throttle trim are all the way down and try again. If it doesn't work after that, contact the seller and try to get a new radio.

My little helicopter you have to have the remote on before then turn your helicopter on, on mine you then have to push the power control stick up and down twice i think then the helicopter will pair to the remote
