Default Help... TS42 and RCS140 Need a Plane

I have both of these engines on the shelf and would like to hear some ideas about a new home for them. Looking for 3D ability and wingspan 80in or less due to transpotation. Thanks, Pete

Come on fellas. How about the Wild Hair 28% Edge 540T or the GP Patty W. Extra 300S for the Taurus TS42?

Both are good choices. The Wagstaff is well proven with the small gassers, there are several locally with the TS-42...

The Lanier 540, H9 540, and GP Giles are good planes for the RCS140.
Will not do 3D but will fly them nicely.

I had the RCS-140 on the H9 Edge.
The performance was very good, but not quite good enough for all out 3D. Other than that I thought it was fine.
The engine is now on a H9 100" super cub.

Problem solved!!!

After some research I narrowed it to the Kangke Texas Hurricane and the GP Patty Extra300S. Then went over to Hodges Hobbies and gave Patty a look over[X(] and took her home. The TS42 should do nicely.

Will put the RCS on the shelf for awhile. Thanks for the replies and feedback. It will be a Happy New Year. Pete

If I lived as close as you do to Mac's I would be there every day!
Is that your home field?

My "Home base" is the AMAC club/field in Leesburg. A trip to Mac's is less than an hour and on occasion I'll fly there and go to his spring and fall flyins. Your right it's like being in a candy store. Mac is great to work with and is competitive on his prices. He is planning on having that big electric flyin again, it's worth the trip. Take care, Pete
