Here you go guys. I took the cowl off to show you all how its done. The engine mounts are 1-3/4" units from rmteo1, http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...85&forumid=134

They are beautiful.

The choke servo is inside the fuse with a rod to the choke horn so I can run it off the remote. The engine runs flawless and range checks great..

Hey John your mount looks good. A couple of thoughts:

You might want to open up some breathing holes in you motor box for that carb, it looks like the butterfly is in the box. Also, if you don't have one already, put a hole in the bottom of the box to allow gas to run out - when you choke the carb it will spit a bit.

Other than that - looks great!

Actually there is, Ill try to get a pic of it up today too. Thanks!

I just went from the corners of the box and made an X. I used two of the origional holes that are for the zenoah and punched the blind nuts out.
Mounting went pretty easy.

John,
Your 80 has a Bing on it? Are those 1.75" standoffs? I had to open the hole in my firewall somewhat more for the Walbro.
My Dad is turning a throttle extention for mine. Will post a pic when I get it on.
Which muffler do you have? How's the noise?

Thats the carb it came with.

I put the Bisson on it, its not super loud, but you can hear it, I love the sound of it.

Did or do you have any trouble with it running hot?Did you have to make an air dam or baffles for the cylinders?

John, first of all, I want to thank you for going to the trouble to make the good photos and post them. I'm getting ready to do the same thing with my Super Decathlon and ZDZ 80 (if it ever comes in). I'll post photos of my installation.

You said it ranges checks fine. Did you do anything special in hooking up your throttle servo to the receiver?

Nope, just plugged it in. Its on a 6" extension, but its a normal one.

I have a vid of the sukhoi flying in this forum, I put flights 5,6 and 7 on it yesterday with not one glitch. I am running a Revolution whip antennae on it too.

OK, engine temp, after a 10 minute flight, land, quick taxi to me and shut off and temp gun reads 180 degrees on the head.

Nice pics John. Do you have a rudder pull pull set up, or dual's in the tail? Too bad you had to add all that weight. I know it's pricey, but a can or pipe on that 80 might balance it better, and turn more rpm's too. I can't believe you are getting the performance I've seen on your vids with that weight AND the Bisson muffler. It robs you by a couple hundred rpms, so I hear. That's a good thing though! Those 80's DO ROAR!
Anyhow, I would really like to see any pics you might have of your DA100 install on your new Cap?
I just finished the DA100 install on my H9 Extra. Will try to post pics. Only downside was that I had to cut a huge hole in the bottom of the cowl for the standard mufflers to get clearance. It's only on the bottom though. No big deal. I haven't even started this engine up yet, but I'm waiting on my throttle servo to come in the mail. Can't wait.

Thanks Paul,
I dont have the DA yet, maybe swinging a deal on one tomorrow hopefully!! I love them.
Ill have a bunch of pics/vids of the cap also, check out the new vid I posted today of a bunch of flying!

I took one pound of lead off the firewall a long time ago, there is one pound left, and I am at 24# according to the scale, I have a pull pull coming so Ill do that with the rudder and take out the last 1lb and have more fun!

Thanks
