Default Help! Paint to match monocote

There was a thread on the old RCU with common spray paints to match monocote.
I am doing some work on some pants and cowl (yellow) and don't really want to order a can of paint from a dist. The hardware store is much closer! Cheaper too!

Have you been to your local hobby store? TF and Chevron have monokote matched paints.[&:]

Lustercoat is teh paint line taht Top Flite markets to match their line of poly covering : Monokote.

You can use automotive 'touch up' paint.

You can also take a sample of your covering to teh local body shop, and have them match it / custom mix a bottle. And trhey can usually put it in a spray can for you.. PPG paints are fuel proof...

I did an hour search and found this from a post a year or so ago.
Don't have a LHS or a spray gun. []
Thanks folks!

[color=#990033]Greetings.
I've been using Krylon spray paint to match Monokote film for years. Banner red matches Laser red, Cherry red =dark red, no match for tue red, sun yellow=yellow, true blue =royal blue, biege may match monokote but I haven't tried that color. Rustoleum harbor blue enamel matches mono blue mist, requires a lot of mixing so the green doesn't dominate. Black and white Krylon also matches (blacks and whites do vary in shade). Krylon is a laquer and will soften upon contact with glow fuel...requires an overcoat of polyurethane. Krylon=$2 to $3/can...generally $2.47 at Walmart. choose the primer carefully. White, grey or maroon will affect the final result.
