Default Quadra 75XL Info

Hello,
I would like to have some information on this engine.
How well do they run?
How much power?
What RPM with which prop?
How much vibration?
I will appreciate some feedback from anyone who has experience with this engine.
Thank you very much!
John

I have been running a 75XL and it has a lot of power. I took the spring starter off and had trouble starting the motor. I now use a Sulivan Dynatron starter on the engine and it fires right up. I am running a 24 X 8 prop at about 8500 rpm. The battery model would probably be very easy to hand start.

Hi,
How is that engine for vibration?
Will it swing a bigger prop than a 24x8?
I'm told a 24x10 or 26x10 work well, however I have no experience with this engine.
Thanks
John

The engine does vibrate a bit. I'd say a little more than a G-62 but less than a FPE 4.2. It will turn a larger prop, but as I am at 6200 feet above sea level, I use the 22 X 12 or the 24 X 8 prop for the motor and it will not sag on my uplines. I think all the big singles like to shake a bit.
