HPI's manual suggests putting your thumb on the air filter, but on their website they strongly suggest not doing this because you can push dust and crap in to your engine. Dunno why the manual said to do that...

Anyways, their current suggestion is apparently to either run the car out of fuel or [link=http://www.hpiracing.com/faq-nitro-main.htm#stop_engine]block the exhaust[/link] - I do both.

I think I get it, but I dont really understand the more intricate of the reasons why the car works

Darn, just cant wait to get a car......

That's one reason kits are cool..........

Eric: Plugging the intake just cuts off all the air.
Plugging the fuel just cuts off all the fuel.
If the trim thingy works (which it 99999999999999999998/99999999999999999999 is guaranteed not to work) it would be the best because both air and fuel is gone. Or you can try plugging the fuel line and air filter at the same time... that would have the same effect.

Or can you just disconnect the pressure line?
