Default EDF - make your own?

Anybody made an EDF unit or something similiar to it?

I saw the Clancy ducted BEE that uses a cut down prop in a tube and it got me thinking about it.

I have an Aveox 1114/4y motor that needs a fan unit.

While it is possible to make your own fan unit, it would probably not be worth your trouble. Fans can be purchased relatively cheaply nowadays.

If you check the dimensions on that new GWS or Wattage spd 400 fan unit with the lazy bee jet I bet it will fit. Those are only about 25.00 if you have the motor for it already.
