Default Piccolo board led stays red

I traded for this poccolo eco and there were no information on board send with heli. I do not know the ins and outs of the board. I plugged my batterie pack in and it goes through the set up then the LED light comes on red and sometimes tail motor will work and sometimes the tail motor will not. I was reading on another sight and it stated that the light should go green is this correct.

Thanks in Advance for any information

No that sounds right.

you plug in the battery, the LED shuts off, then goes solid red in about 4 seconds while
the Gyro initializes.

When its solid, its ready to fly.

Don't know about a green LED, I'm running a piccoboard on my Eco.

Paul's site has some info on troubleshooting the piccoboard, and a ton of great information on the Piccolo in general.
Radds site has simple steps to go through to minimize damage and frustration when learning.
Ikarus has a board specific to the Piccolo that you will find invaluable to learning about your heli.

Good luck. Let us know how you do.
