Default fresh air to carburator

Hey guys,
It sometimes seems to be a problem to get fresh air to the carburator, especially carburators build at the rear side of the engine.
Does anyone of you have some sollutions for this problem. Getting fresh air from the fuselage is not an option.

Happy flying.

Ronny, I'm not sure what the problem is that you are asking about. If the engine is getting enough air to run properly then why does it need "fresh" air? I am running a ZDZ80RV in a Super Decathlon. The air that the carburetor gets is heated by the cooling air that goes across the engine but that in no way seems to effect the performance. In the photo, you can see that the carburetor is so close to the firewall that I installed a piece of beer can in the firewall to give the carburetor more clearance and to isolate the carburetor from the interior of the fuselage.

I really think that you are worrying about a non problem.

I have found that you simply can't prevent air from getting to the rear mounted carbs
The exception is a bulkhead right up close to the carb opening.
Much speculation about nothing --
