RE: YELLOW AIRCRAFT ARF F-16
i dont have photos but i have seen it done by Rick Fusco of the Ga jets gang. He may have pics, He just took a peice of aluminum tubine and put it through with ply on each end beneth the duct for support. You may also want to lay some carbon fiber cloth beneath the inlet duct in this area to support this. If you do not you may get cracking. Russ

I RECENTLY SPOKE WITH SHAWN FROM YELLOW ABOUT INSTALLING A "SPIKE" BETWEEN THE NOSEGEAR FORMER THROUGH THE INTAKE TO THE FRONT FUSE FORMER TO STRENGTHEN THIS AREA. DOES ANYONE HAVE SOME PHOTOS OF THIS PROCEDURE?
THANKS

dont know if this will help or not but go to www.aircraftresourcecenter.com and click on walk-around photos. there are plenty of f-16 pics there that might help you figure a way out to install what you looking for.

RE: YELLOW AIRCRAFT ARF F-16
I also spoke to Shaun a few months ago about install a spike support in the inlet to my y/a F-16c. He faxed me a template for the additional former needed for the spike. I was planning on performing this operation in July on mine. If you haven't found anyone else with photos by then, I will be happy to take photos of my installation.
I was planning on taking a small drill bit, and drill through the fuse and inlet just to the top of the front gear plate in the inlet. Then run a plywood or CF shaft to the top of the front gear plate, long enough to run to the notch on the former, then hysol everything in place.
Hope this helps,
Steven T.

Do you want it faxed or emailed? Shaun also advised me to use the measurement on the template for the size of the former because the actual size of the template might change when faxed.
