RE: RadioCraft tail surfaces
I know.
Thats why I added lead to my RadioCraft. 25.5 was too light. I am happy now that it weighs 28.
Elevators with it at 28 pounds are really sweet. It comes down like a brick!
I just cant figure why it does a snap roll at the top or bottom of a big loop. Oh well...

RE: RadioCraft tail surfaces
Hey Chris - Sorry about that, Wayne and I were just joking around with eachother. I've broken my stabs before from a crash, and there really isn't much in there. I'm not sure how much structure you'd have to add to support a servo in there. It's built up with ribs and mostly air. If you want to remove your stabs use the Rocket City 69d hardware or equivelent. I think Don's Hobby in Kansas sells their own line which is the same as the old Rocket city stuff. They have a stout clevis that is easily removable so you can take the stabs off and disconnect the linkage from the elevator with not much hassle. You dont have to worry about them wearing out - I've had the same ones on my radiocraft for 3 years and lots of flights.
Hope this helps more then before!
take care,
Jon
