Question About Rare Earth Magnets
I understand how small and powerful rare earth magnets are and they seem ideal for holding down a hatch cover. My question is how do you remove a small hatch that is held down with these magnets. If they are that strong, how do you lift the hatch off? Do you have to pry them off with something like a screwdriver? Help!

I am getting ready to do this on a Ziroli Stuka. I have built hatches befor but have never used magnets. This time I have ordered some small magnets.
What I am going to do is hinge my hatch about 3/4 of the distance of the longest side. This would allow you to push on the short side of the hinge which in turn would swing out the longer side of the hinge. This way the hatch is never removed.
Thats my story and I'm sticking too it.
