Default zdz 50 questions

anyone using this engine to fly 17-18 pound airplanes? how well does it hover and what prop are you using?

I have that engine on a Dave patrick edge, wieghts in at 16.2lbs , hovers around 1/4 throttle pull out is awsome, The motor is a little hard to crank but once you get her going it is an animal!
Not sure how it would do on a 18lb plane but it is awsome with 16.2lbs and 24 fluid ounces of fuel on board.

You wont be disapointed with the engine, they are good engine's

I've got the ZDZ 50 in my GP Patty Wagstaff. It comes in at I believe 15 lbs. It's swinging a 22x6-10 and it does run out of power at the top of a long climb. A good 22x8 would be a perfect match for it.
