The stock roto-plate works BUT.... you have to use the one-way bearing from the stock 25, the one that came with the wasp won't fit...

That tight feeling is a combination of two things at the same time... (and yes, to answer now, because it isn't broken in.)

The two things that make it tight are:
1. Compression... It is new and the compression is as high as it ever will be.
2. Pinch... The top of the sleeve has a "pinch point" that is the tightest against the piston.

Since it is new and your directions may be unclear here is a good piece of advice for a good breakin and the best life-potential... After you run EACH BREAKIN TANK (I actually do it after every tank now too) make sure to turn the engine over to the portion where it turns easiest (near "bottom dead center" or BDC) that is, don't leave it to cool at TDC in the tight portion of the sleeve.

this is whats known as the pinch, its the liner pinching the piston as it moves to the top of the stroke, as most small nitro engines dont use rings on the pistons this is how they achieve compression, its perfectly normal on a new engine and is nothing to worry about

hehe, beat me to it

also another way to know when your piston is at BDC is to mark the fly wheel, then you know when the piston is in the right place
