Any new Dell with Pentium Processor, I'd stay away from Celeron.

Just make sure you get an ATI 9800 video card on board!

Don't get a Dell! Build your own!

I just built:

ASUS K8V Mobo
Athlon 64 3200+
1 GB Corsair RAM
Dual 80GB 10,000 RPM SATA RAID 0
Thermaltake Lanfire Case
BFG GEForce 6800 GT OC 256MB graphics
DVD RW dual layer (sony)


I built on the high end, what would be consider a mid-level gamer's computer. You can get close for less money if you want single hard drives, less RAM, etc.
Total investment = $1300

I can display 1600 x 1200 with 125 FPS. Half life2 plays on it like a 10,000 HDTV... stunning.

A dell configured the same way would run you about $1700 "plus tax"
