Help with cowling and Pitts style Muffler
Funtana 90, with OS 91. I cant get the cowl to slip on without cutting slots to go up to the exhaust pipes. The cowling will not quite slip up to the 2 holes I have drilled for the pipes to exit. I dont want to cut two ugly slots up to the exit holes. Might as well not run a cowl it would be so ugly. Any ideas?
PS, enlarging the holes to even 1" wouldnt be enough. I need 2"

Keith, any way to cut the pipes shorter and use flexible pipes to get the exhaust out? Or cut them pretty much flush with it. Any pics?

The best Idea yet. Put the muffler pipes down through the holes... Then, as a unit, slide the cowling with muffler in it. But first, drill two very small 1/8" holes where an allen wrench can reach down and then put the muffler on! What a great idea... I dont want short pipes, It will be messy enoough. I like the aluminum tubes coming out. The cool factor is good with the aluminum.
