RB .28
Hi, does anyone have any experience with RB .28 (728TM). I've just got new one, haven't run it yet but after having a good look inside I'm really disapointed, even cheap engines have more work done on the crank. I will give it a fair chance but for $300 I do expect a bit more.

make sure you run a fuel with 12% synthetic oil like odonnel race fuel, if you run a fuel with high castor content then you will have trouble with the one way slipping as its contained inside the crank case

E-mail the people at duratrax, or odonnell, they will tell you 18%. Thats what they told me anyway. I doubt its all castor though. Most fuel is a blend of oil.

AFAIK the normal (is it called RTR or something like that? ) odonnell has 18% oil whereas the race blend fuel uses 12%, i could be wrong though

RE: RB .28
maybe i have it all wrong but doesnt putting an engine into a truck with so much power that you constantly do nothing more than chew up parts everytime you drive it kind of going against the thought of making a truck more durable???I understand the urge for big power but if your truck hasnt been upgraded to handle the power you are kind of just shooting yourself in the foot arent you??Maybe the first upgrades people might want to look into are stronger drivetrain components,,shafts diffs, gears etc & save the big power for when the truck is ready for it.. Dont mean to tick anyone off just puttin my 2 cents in..
