Default Recommend me some cheap paint!

I am building a plane, for club pylon racing, and it may have a short life expectancy. So I don't want to use two rolls of covering, and all the time to do it. I want to paint it,and I saw one guy uses Deft as a sealer, then paints. I want to use something like Rustoleum, can I still use Deft under that? I really don't care if it is a super finish, just fuel proof and colored. I used Rustoleum on another plane, no primer, and it seemed to work. Any other cheap spray suggestions?

Dollar General's enamel spray cans. $1.00 each doesn't get much
cheaper than that.

Is latex fuel proof? What type of primer/prep is needed? I don't want to be too cheap, I bought some off-brand Auto-Zone paint for a glider, and the stuff was thick, and took forever to dry! I think I can paint one and come out a little lighter than covering it, any ideas?

Default This stuff works great...

Auto-Zone...$3.50/can....have primer too. Heat resistant engine enamel, gas and oil resistant, 15%....no problem. Dries really fast.....has great fan-spray nozzle. Has clear-cote enamel to go over the color....many colors to choose from. Easy to use, flattens out real nice. Good stuff.

If you are using a Glow engine, then Latex is NOT fuel proof

I though enamal was NOT fuel proof. Is there something special about the clear coat engine enamal that makes ot fuel proof?
I tried the flat on a header one time and the fuel made it run like Tammy Fayes makeup.
