hate thrust washers helllllp!!!!
ok im new to this sport and i just got a giles 202 that asks for 1 washer behind 1 motor mount ,which when i think about it id have to drill the engine mount off center isnt there a better way? by the way its mounted on an angle and also asks for 2 washers under the front mounts for right thrust the other 1 is for down thrust ty tree dog grrr

Don't understand the "drill off center"??? Are you worried about
the washer not sitting flat against the rear of the motor mount
surface?? If that is it, you are trying to be more precise than
you need to be. Just put the washers in place and run the motor
mount bolts through them. What the kit builder is giving you for
thrust is just a starting point anyway. Final thrust settings (up/
down/side) are only finalized in flight.

the only other way is to build the thrust into the firewall which should be done when its built. If those washers are required for all the G202's then the build should simply put the firewall in with the correct off set for thrust. Without that being done your only choice is to shim the motor like they suggest, and yes it will need to be drilled off center.
