Default The ultimate fuel container

I just received my fast fueler from Jim. This thing is so awesome, well made, and just too cool. They are expensive, but if you have a 35%-40% airplane you have to have one.

It's funny what people will spend money on. I have seen people come to the field with large planes, carbon fiber propls, spinners ect..., and have the worst looking fuel containers. For starters, bad or contaminated fuel will make you engine quite. I realize $350 is a fair amount of money, and this filler is not for everybody, but it is just too cool.

IMO, you dont want to fill your fuel tank as fast as possible, the air can only escape soo fast, nothing cooler than blowing off a fuel fitting in the fuse and fueling up the plane.. But it sure is pretty.

Plus, it truely is way too much $$$ Ill take my 5gallon fuel can with a electric pump for under $100 any day. .02

Respectfuly, you must have noticed that there is a pressure gauge on the fuel container.

Too much money, lets talk about composite ARF. Ok lets pay upwards $ 3,500 for a 40% airframe that will not stay in trim.

Well, I fly a Composite ARF (2.3) but my fast feuler is less than $25 from Walmart and LHS. Ball air pump/gas can/DuBro fitting.

I had a extra, and it flew strait for the fist 100 flights, but then would not track. It is a known problem, the new design allows you to adjust the incidence to compensate.

Wow, you really need to learn the facts.. If your in my area, you can fly mine and tell me how it wont stay in trim.... sounds like a servo problem, and you probably had cheap hitecs in it..

Oh, and yes, I know its a pressure system, so if that works for you, use a pump on a gas can like the post above..

Fuel under pressure is scary don't you think ? The cool aluminum can will hold the pressure but the plastic can is a bomb in the car with you. I use a hand pump, keeps me in shape you know.

No, you only pump it up when fueling.. you release the pressure after.

Servos were 8411's, it was not the set up. As I said it was a known problem that was fixed by using adjustable incidence. Also I would recomend venting the fuse, because when the plane gets hot in the summer the fuse expands and can create a twist in the fuse.

Na, 9 out of 10 pilots at most fields I visit have these gas bombs and don't bother to let the pressure off. One idiot told me it was to much trouble to pump it back up. O-well I stay away from these guys.

John,
I did not post to argue. This fuel can is expensive, but there are some good benefits. I bought the can for several reasons. The can is very well sealed, so there are no fuel smells in the car. I put my 40% plane in my SUV, and do not want it to smell like a gas staition. The can is very low profile and will not fall over in the SUV. I like the fact that it is a air pump system, and not electric. And I like the fact that it is well engineered, and hand made.

You could argue that it is silly to spend $350 on a gas can, but not when it is sitting next to a $7,000 model airplane. Now if you would just rather make your own system more power to ya.

They are very well built. I saw my first about 3 years ago at Joe Nall. Wish I could afford one.

I use the Jersey modeler system, hand crank.
Reasonably priced, too.
www.jerseymodeler.com
Great customer service, fast shipping, too.
(I'm not sponsered, just like his products)
Almost forgot, I use Jersey Modeler fuel dots, too.
