You can get a "vibration proof" washer set from Microfastners that works very well in keeping machine bolts tight. I have used them and not had one loosen. Much better than the "split" lock washer.

If you double up the locktited nut and a nylon lock nut, be sure that you install the locktited nut first. Let it cure over night. In the morning wipe off any excess locktite, then install the nylock nut. Locktite has a tendancy to destroy plastics and that would render the nylon portion of the nylock nut useless. Maybe this is overkill, but I've never been in so big a hurry I couldn't wait an evening. Mounting the motor is usually the first thing I do anyway.

I agree with sillyness. Locktite and nylon are not a good combination. I use just locktite and have not had a problem so far.
