Kyosho Mini Z Series VS Iwaver Series

RE: Mini Z Series VS Iwaver Series
Don't you mean which one is better? First of all, there is a "mini" section on RCU which is probably where this thread should have been started. Second, Kyosho has more of a variety of models including the Overland Series, the Formula 1 Car Series, and the Formula 1 Boat Series which can be towed with the other series, so the question is too broad. Third, instead of "thrashing" on RCU, I suggest visiting Minizracer.com which sells both the Kyosho and the Iwaver series where members have been debating and arguing the issue since Iwaver first came out.
By the way, I live in Las Vegas as well and own numerous Kyosho Mini-Zs, a couple of Iwavers, and an Xmod as well as a very large RCP Track that was set up in a warehouse locally for six months. Consequently, I have driven the small scale cars for a while now.

I purchased one Iwaver locally when Hobby People still sold them. I purchased the second through a hobby store in California. As mentioned in my prior post, MiniZRacer sells both Kyosho Mini-Zs and Iwavers. And since Hobbico/Great Planes is now the US distributor for Iwaver, Tower Hobbies should be selling Iwavers. In addition, any LHS that orders through Hobbico/Great Planes should be able to order an Iwaver if they want to though it may still end up cheaper to order an Iwaver through Tower Hobbies if you want an Iwaver.

For Iwavers also look at http://www.toyeast.com
They are located in Hong Kong, I have until now ordered for around US$ 1000 through them (10 orders or so) and have never had any trouble.
I usually pay with my VISA, but they also accept PayPall and several other payment options.

Of course, if there are problems with the Iwavers ordered directly from Toy East--it's back to Hong Kong they go isn't it? And based on posts by some of the Iwaver retailers, I'm suprised to read your post asserting you've "never had any trouble" unless that is simply regarding the ordering from Toy East, not the Iwavers themselves. Myself, I would wait a while and check on how many "scratch and dents" Tower has later for sale. Then again, I don't plan to purchase anymore Iwavers until they get their act together even though the carbon fiber chassis prototype I saw last month looked pretty good. I'm sure I'll read more feedback once an Iwaver Cup gets underway if Hobbico/Great Planes does have one though I am hoping the first regional qualifier is not close to me (I'd rather enter one towards the end).
