Tamiya Carbon Fiber Chassis Set TLT-1
Has anyone tried this? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHSK5&P=M
Is it (much) better than the stock chassis? Why?
Is it worth $39.99 ( at TowerHobbies)?
Thanks for any comments...

RE: Tamiya Carbon Fiber Chassis Set TLT-1
it would be lighter but might not be able to take as much strain as a aluminium chassis - it will also allow some twist
but for $40 is it cheap i would say

RE: Tamiya Carbon Fiber Chassis Set TLT-1
I think the main advantage of going to the CF chassis will be looks, you have to admit it looks a but load better than the stock one does.
A CF chassis will be somewhat lighter, but the TLT weighs so much that its not really going to affect much
As for the flex, a CF chassis shouldnt flex anymore than the stock chassis does, CF is a really rigid material.
BTW heres a couple other CF chassis for the TLT, IMHO the tamiya one is the best looking, cheapest too.
