Theft in Kansas City
Well, my family and I returned from vacation only to discover that I'd been burglarized. We had a house sitter who apparently had a party at the house and the garage door was left open over night. Needless to say, I'm sick about the whole thing. The police are involved, but the recovery of stuff is unlikely.
Of note for those folks from the KC area who might read this, my profile "Mustang" which I acquired from a Sport Flyers club member was stolen. It's the yellow colored Homelight that was custom built by Scott. I'm sure most of the Sport Flyers at Longview have seen this plane. The thief was too stupid to reach up and steal the wing to go with the plane though. This plane has a 31cc Homelight on the front end and was scratch built, so I can't describe it to ya. However unlikely it is, this thing could turn up at a pawn shop or hobby store in KC for sale. I'd appreciate a post if a local person sees it anywhere.
The rest of the stuff stolen included a JR transmitter, some engines, and miscellaneous smaller parts. Thankfully, thieves tend to be retarded and they reached over the newly built Su-Do-Khoi to take the profile. All in all, I'll have to file a claim for roughly $2000 worth of stuff. It certainly could have been worse.
