RE: sims...?
Hi DMCBlaster,
All simulators are good. People complain about the accuracy of simulators, and it's true that the expensive ones have better physics, but all simulators are useful.
They all train you in orientating the network, and let your thumbs gain some experience without damaging a physical heli.
Also, they provide good exercise material...
eg, Set up FMS and them purposely de-trim your heli... You will find that it's now really difficult to control, and is just like when you first take off on an untrimmed helicopter... Good experience before your first flight.
Also, set up FMS with wind, and it starts to feel more like a real helicopter - eg, you have to fight it.
While this is also not realistic, the sims then do a great job of teaching you to recover from a bad situation.... And in that, they have significant value.
Regards
David
p.s. I don't know about the blade interface. Try ebay.

RE: sims...?
I've got a copy of pre-flight coming with a Hitec TX cable I ordered, i'll let you know how it is. FMS does a great job for plane simulation, but it's only so-so for Helicopters. It's great for, as oops said, teaching you orientation and reflexes, though.
