I call it the Hornybee
Thought you micro guys might get a kick out of this one.
My first heli was the Honeybee2 which was beat up pretty bad learning to fly these things. My second heli was the Hornet 2 which flew great but the tail gears and shaft gave me a lot of trouble with striping out all the time and replacement parts are darn expensive, not to mention everything glues together which makes repairing a pain. Finally got a TRex and moved all the electronics from the Hornet 2 over to it.
So just to see what would happen I transfered all the electronics from the HoneyBee over to the Hornet. I also grafted the Honeybee tail onto the Hornet boom. Was very easy to do, the outer dia of HB boom matches the inside dia of the Hornet boom. Was even able to dremel off the clamp from the old Hornet tail to use (no glue!).
The end results are nothing short of amazing. This thing flies better than either one did on there own. The Blade guys at the park are jealous.
