Just my opinion, I Run an OS 18 TM in My t-maxx, my son has a stock t-maxx, The truck is over powered and a blast to run it'll wheelie from a dead stop, it will wheelie while it's going 20 mph already, I highly recommend this engine easy as heck to tune reliable, starts every time

FANTOM FR18 direct drop in. but be careful if you tune for power it will be almost too fast. i have 2 of them and i haven't had to touch the needles since breakin. highly recommended. and for $150 you can't beat it.

If you have to cut the Crank shaft you have an OS .18tz not TM. It's do able though. Put the engine in a plastic bag, like a zip lock, and poke the crank shaft out of the bag, Put a rag around it and put it in a vise, or just hold it well, use a dremmel cut off wheel and cut crank leave 5 threads on it, clean up end of crank with a drum sander on your dremmel. It's not that big a deal bro- The tm fits stock, the TZ needs to be cut the tm has low end torque the TZ revs higher. Both awesome engines especially the TZ.
