Lee,

Thanks for the report. The comments on the 14MZ I've been hearing continue to be good, so I'm saving my $'s...

I agree totally nothing in this world is perfect... I can remember my very first 10 channel JR out of the box.. long before the SX or X versions... After my swamp check... I was so disappointed..it would lockup as soon as I turned on the second interfering transmitter even at 25 feet away!

The thing was so new the JR service center had to wait until they got all of the tech manuals before they could attempt correcting the poor tuning & mis-alignment! I will say they eventually did a fine job, I still have that transmitter, several Zmode receivers, and the original trans module, one of the strongest JR crystal controlled transmitter modules I own.

Indeed. I already pointed that out way back at post #14 in this thread...

Ha, if you want to pay a grand for a 10 channel radio that still requires you to use Pmixes to move functions from one actuator to another, I say GO ahead! Does your computer still have front panel lights and switches or is it made with tubes?!?

Sorry I have to chime in too... Afterburner... your statement is like saying "yippee! I have a camaro, and you have a ferrari!!!!" ford vs chevy debate being put aside, the 9z is far superior to the 10x... as far as what you can do with the radio... and the 14mz is in another galaxy..... 9z is intimidating to use, takes a while to get the hang of, but you can't dispute that it has more capability than a 10x....

10x is very user friendly, kind of like that JR ad, (that was pulled) telling all its users that they aren't smart enough to need assignable switches...anyone remember that one?

I've had the full JR line of transmitters... futaba is more complex, but you get a much more capable system... I have a feeling if bob violet endorsed futaba.... the jet masses would have green or orange stickers on their planes instead of red..... All the major brands are fine, but you cannot truthfully argue that the 10x is a more capable radio than the 9z...

What kind of cars do you guys drive????<g>

I would be willing to bet that a person spending 2k for a radio system won't tell you it's a peace of s***. Have also heard of people cross assigning trims on Futaba too!

There you go, gunfyter. All the arguments seem to be Futaba 14 MZ versus JR 10X. If you can remember the original question you asked this probably answers it. Do YOU prefer Fuataba or JR? Take your pick. - John.

Never said I liked one better than the other. I use flight modes on the 10X and it works like a champ. It's not a $$ issue, if I wanted one, I could get one. But 95% of the guys I know use the 10X and I don't hear anyone complaining about it.
