Traxxas EZ-Start
What do you guys think of the Traxxas EZ-Start? Is it a piece of poop, or it it better than pull-start, or is it just plain good? Also will it fit in a XTM X-Cellerator?

RE: Traxxas EZ-Start
I've had no problems with the EZ Start on my Revo or my son's Sportmaxx. Both still have the original one way bearings in them, too. Just like anything else, take care of it, and it'll take care of you.

just plug the pipes stinger. but i would recamend a pull start. my friend has a rustler and he hates the "impossible start". he only gets a few starts per charge and he hates carrying around the battery everywhere.

Yes, you prime it with the e-z start. You just plug the e-z start in and put your finger over the exhaust pipe for a few seconds while turning the engine. I personaly had the E-Z start in my Sportmaxx and Nitro Rustler and I hated it. The one way bearing always was the first thing to go. And its harder on that specific peice because with the E-Z start the shaft is always moving at one solid fast speed, unlike with a pull start it is slow in little bursts.

e-z starts dont give me any trouble
u can prime it by puting ur finger on the pipe and if you have the stock traxxas air cleaner on it you can cover it with your hand and that works too

RE: Traxxas EZ-Start
well i've had gt and that darn pull start would leave me stranded w/out having any fun. since i got my tmaxx, and upgraded my pede to the 2.5R both w/ the easy start system i've had a blast with them. no problems so far! but i keep all my things well maintained because i don't have all the money in the world. i treat them right they do the same. just my 2 sence

RE: Traxxas EZ-Start
i have two cars using the ezstart2 system and have had no problems from either of them. i don't know how so many people are having problems with them. i don't do anything to maintain them, just use it to start my rc's. if your a beginner, i think its especially good because an engine out of tune could be a pickle to start and pulling on that rope for a long time can be a real pain.

RE: Traxxas EZ-Start
Amazingly I prefer the Ez-start, I tried pull start it was ok but pushing a button was sooo much easier. Then I bought a sullivan tiger drive figured shaft start would be ok, the one-way broke in 4 tanks. So I am right back with the ez-start and I couldn't be happier lol.
