Default looking for a bipelane

hello there i want a large bipelane that wont be very expenssive...i am thinking going with an o.s 1.6 fx (if you have other cheap sugestions please post your thoughts).
i am leaning towards the pitts special.
the new G.P pitts is too big for an o.s 160 fx and also too expenssive.
another important thing is that it will be extremly airobatic...even 3d if he can.
please help
roy

Check out the Midwest Super Stinker. If you want an ARF the Dave Patrick Ultimate would be good.

Default dear Mendes

i saw that you have the G.P pitts special with the u.s 41 engine...i wanted to ask you how is the plane flying with that engine?
is that engine reliable?
and how is the pitts flying?
is it extreemly airobatic?
will it 3d?
is it comming really slow for landing because is't a bipe?

tank you

I haven't flown my Pitts yet, if the weather is OK this weekend then it will go up. It will not be able to do 3D that is for sure, there are quite a few threads about the GP Pitts that you should check out in the ARF forum.

If I had an O.S. 1.6 laying around I would get the Dave Patrick Ultimate, that is just an awesome airplane.

Roy, the OS 1.6FX just isn't enough to fly a large (72" ws or larger) biplane aerobatically.

I fly a Great Planes Giant Aeromaster (relatively cheap) with a Zenoah G62 and it is extremely aerobatic. Mine weighs 20.25 pounds and has a 73" wing span. I highly recommend it.

By the way, the words large, cheap, and high performance don't seem to work well together. At least I have never been able to do a project this way.

Cermark Pitts or the Dave Patrick Ultimate--owned both--Pitts with a Siato 1.8 and YS 1.20 on the Ultimate. Both are good performers and in the engine size mentioned.

Default you are right...

cheap, large and high preformance doesnt go together
another option is to go with a singal wing plane and an o.s 1.60 fx do you have any suggestions?
but this must do 3d!

and i don't have an o.s laying around it's just that it's a good and cheap engine for it's size but i am open for suggestions.
i would like to hear about gassers too...
so please help

thank you
roy
