Default Looking for a 50cc ARF

Would anyone like to let me know of a 50cc ARF that IS NOT a Yak, Extra, Edge, etc. I'm looking for a civilian sport scale or warbird, other than a P-51. Seems like there are very few 50cc ARFs other than the 3D birds. Thanks.

GSP makes some big scale warbirds. I would guess they are made for more of the 62 size motor, however most of the modern 50's should work well.

Hanger9. (Horizon) will be releasing a super nice looking P-47 Razorback in Feb. 2006. I can't wait to get mine. It has an 80.5"
WS. I plan on putting an MVVS 45MG in mine if the cowl will accept it.

Both of the planes/companies mentioned are 1.20 size planes (1.50 in the P-47 case). GSP has nothing "advertized" to take a 50cc engine.

I'm going by weight and wiing span. I think that the hanger9 P-47 will be OK for a 50cc size engine, because it has a rather large cowl, and a long Fuse.

just how much of an ARF are you looking for? Yellow Aircratf makes a bunch of great 50 size planes.

The World Models Zero GS 80"ws ARF is an exellent warbird for a 40-62cc engine. This plane flies easily and only needs a good retract upgrade. Flying mine with a BME 44 with Spring -Air retracts and Robart Struts. Still holding up well and starting it's third flying season. See my gallery for pictures. Paul

World Models Spitfire:

This plane would fly very well with a 50cc engine.

Kangke Waco Bipe:

Lanier Stinger ARF

I know that you asked for an ARF--but Top Flite still makes some pretty cool kits for old warbirds in GS size. You'll just have to build it. The F4U Corsair and the P-47 Jug come to mind.

I thought that H9 95" Giant Cessna would heva been a good candidate for a 40-50cc gasser. Probably overpowered--but thats okay. It's currently out of production untill late spring 2006.

I had forgotten about Yellow Aircraft; but have decided on the new Hanger 9 80" P-47. Pre-ordered it yesterday.

rcpilet, I built the Kangke Laser 2000, and I was so impressed with the quality of the Kangke kit, I ordered one of their WACO Bipes from Chief' Aircraft yesterday. Have you had any experience with the Waco? I'm planning on useing an MVVS 45 MG for the engine.

Bob:
Haven't flown the Waco.

I'm on my second Laser 2000. I really like the way this plane flies. Haven't actually put the second one together yet--but I did replace the first one within a week after finding the expiration date.[sm=bananahead.gif]

On my Laser 2000 it was built to the point of almost over-glu. I was blown away by the quality of the kit. Bob
