Default Servos: Is this normal or strange behaviour

I turn on my transmitter, plug in the battery to the engine/reciever/servos/speed controller, and the servos go crazy. Or do they? All servos go to their maximum position and then return to center, is this normal? What if I had used a servo for regulating the speed of the engine, that would have been dangerous suddenly having a plane running around in the livingroom since the servos go to max as soon as I turn the power on. Any ideas why this happen?

I had a reciever that did this. I think it was a FMA. But it works fine, after the initial jitter.

I'm using a Schulze alpha-5.35 with Waypoint servos. Everything seems to work fine except for the strange behaviour. Wish I knew why it did behave like this, and if there was anything I could do. I don't like it

I don't think it's anything to worry about if it goes away as soon as you are done plugging the battery in. Since you should have a speed controler that needs to recieve a 0 throttle signal for a second or two to arm, the momentary jittering shouldn't affect it. All my electric that I run that don't have a PCM reciever do this and I've never had a situation where the motor starts. Except one time when I routed the antenna right past the power wires going to the speed controller. But that happened after the speed controler had armed, which like I said was a few seconds after powering everything up.

My Berg Stamp 4 does something similar. The instructions say it is normal.
