Default Komatsu G-38

Recently from an online source I purchased a used G-38. The prop hub and washer have six holes drilled in them and the hub has two pins pressed into it. Anyone know the reason for this design? The pins interfere with the hub on the composite props I have. Other engines I've seen have a threaded six bolt hub. This hub is clean, no threads cut.

Thanks for any input

That's the way all G38 hubs were made until the latest model..You can just grind off the pins and use the center bolt..a small engine like the g38 does not need 6 bolts in the hub.....
