Tell me if this is about right for a MW Extra
With all the wood done, no hardware except landing gear and wheels it is 7 lbs. That should leave 5 lbs. available for engine, radio gear and covering. Am I missing something or should it come out at 12 or 13 lbs. total?
Thanks in advance

That's not an unreasonable figure for that plane; most are coming in a few pounds heavier. I'm almost done with the airframe, but I don't have an accurate scale to compare your numbers to mine.

With gas engines, I hear that 13-15 lbs is typical. The one I had was just over 15 lbs but had a G45 engine. If I had an electronic ignition system it would be under 15lbs. Using glow will save a pound or so depending on the engine.

More lb. to come
Just wait till you you paint the cowl, wheel pants, add all the servos, extentions,ALL the hareware, covering,& batteries.12 0r 13 lb. will be very light. Most of the one's that I've seen are around 15-17 lb. with gas engines.
