I am thinking about getting one of these kits, and I just wanted to know what peoples opinions on them were. It seems like it would be very cool to me though. Honestly though, I am new to RC and would like some advise.
Has anyone ever had any major problems with them?
What kind of motor and ESC can anyone recomend?
Can anyone estimate how fast it would be with about a 15T motor and a decent ESC?
How durable is it?
Can you acually take it offroad, or at least around the backyard?
Anything that you guys can tell me about it would be much appreciated.
Edit: Ya, the electric one. I am sure you figured that out, but I forgot to mention it.

no problems i've ever heard of, just typical racing stuff like most cars.
any half decent ESC will do, any stock motor upwards
that will make it shift some... and as your new i've seen people trash tough Tamiya kits with standard motors, 30MPH HPI's and pavements don't mix. in the hands of a racer its as tough as they come, in the hands of a newbie... prepare to buy new parts like wishbones every now and again.
The rally cars are made for tracks that arn't on road, they are dirt, and small jumps, nothing toooo hard on the car.
Like flying, biggest thing with cars is join a club, see what they race and start there
