Help! DF IV spin around when take off!
I have a DF IV and every time I take off it spins around! I adjusted the trimmers but still the same, is this common. Anyone experienced this on there DF? Kind of new with DF. What are the common problems do DF. It is so hard for me t control. I had the DF for 2 weeks and still can't make it fly up to my chest. how long doe's it take you guys to able to fully controle the machine? I don't mean by professinally. Just enough to fly around in the house or backyard. any comments is appreciated.

You can use the circuit board as a sight for leveling the motors/rotors...That's definitely step 1: Making sure everything is aligned. It's practically impossible to fly if it's not.
As for how long to learn, I'm still working on it and I've had mine for a little over a month now. The Thermal Intelligence on the DF V definitely makes it easier to fly outdoors, but I want to be able to control it precisely indoors as well! I'm still working on hovering...

Now that is an interesting idea. What if you pitched each opposing rotor just slightly in the opposite direction? Wouldn't that give you a perfect hover because they would be pushing against each other?

I had the exact same problem, i still can't understand how to do it! I had my for about a day and i broke the little wing thing that makes it turn already! I tried to glue it but it keeps bending down. Also when i fixed that those things wouldn't turn and i couldn't turn my heli any way! I am so sad. 1200 dollars to waste. Unless anyone here can help me?

Also, can anyone tell me how long the DF takes to charge. The instructions don't say a thing. I usually wait till the battery gets hot but that is not right.

henryscooters, what model DF do you have? Are you referring to the rotor when you say wing?
If you have the Thunder Power 1320 mAh packs, they should only take an hour to fully recharge. If you are using the yellow DF charger, make sure the LED is blinking before you connect the battery then it should burn solid while charging and it will go out when charging is complete. They shouldn't get hot when charging. Mine don't even get warm. They may still be warm if charging right after flying though.

What i meant the wing is not the big rotor, it's the other little things that are next to the rotor. They spin with the heli. they are squarish too.

Also, my charger has no blinking lights. It just plugs into the outlet.

henryscooters, I think you're in the wrong forum. This is for Draganflyers with an (an) and yours is a Dragonflyer with an (on).

Here's the one you need to go to:
www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_167/tt.htm
It's the one that says WALKERA DRAGONFLY! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Do yourself a favor and get a real helo, like ours and quick playing with those other toys! Good luck!

4 channel fixed pitch Heli....but they should cost about $100 bucks..not $1200.
If it is a Walkera you are in the wrong forum...this one is for the DRAGANFLY (AN)....not DRAGONFLY....The Heli's in this forum have 4 main motors no tail or tail rotor and no flybars or flybar paddles....so everybody is a little confussed about what you are saying.
I think you want the Walkera forum...not this one....hope that helps....try going here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2833333/tm.htm

Perhaps we could have the forum as "Four Rotor Helicopters" and drop the reference to Draganfly, it seems to confuse some people and I for one am always happy to hear about other four rotor flyers ,X-UFO, Microdrones etc. and of course the home builders whose efforts are usually impressive

Yes but i purchased my heli with super cool updates. Such as...
The mini light camera, not the normal kind you are thinking, 4 LED lights inside the heli, a whole new canapy with the back seal placement installed, and the rotors have some metal on them, i also have a PA speaker on my heli, and mine came with a mini TV reciever that i can carry around!
