Default DF Fly Around POV Video

This is a flight of the DF flying in a big open field more like a plane.

Cool Video! Where exactly is that? Looks like a school campus or something.

Great video! I'd like to know where that is, too...Some of those buildings are gorgeous.

The location is Berry College and it is the largest campus in the world as far as acreage. Those buildings are the Ford buildings which consist of dorms and a few classrooms. The buildings were donated by Henry Ford. There have been several movies and TV specials shot here because of the look of the campus and architecture of the buildings.

The colors in your current video at Berry College look washed out and lack definition. Is this do to post processing or is this as good as it gets? My Eyecam Extreme colors are richer and seem to be more detailed. Thanks.

Well it didn't help that the field is so big and is one dominant color. My receiver is not in the best location on the edge near the parking area either. So there's little bit of information loss. But yes, the video is processed and therefore a bit softer than the original. That shouldn't affect the color as much as the clarity though. I did apply some color correction to warm it up because the camera was balanced in the sun but most of the flying shows the cooler shaded area over the field. It was much cooler before I corrected it. I was in a hurry that day to get climb out footage of the buildings and decided to fly around more like a plane since I was in this huge field so I wasn't white balanced for the shaded area over the field. This is where I learned to fly the DF because of it's wide open area which gives plenty of room to correct for mistakes.

Blackdragon, did you not see the stadium footage? It is very clear and smooth.

One thing that is deceptive about the lens on that camera is that it does not represent movement very well. I travelled considerable distances of 50-75 yards in straight lines and it doesn't look like I'm moving much at all. One reason for this is because there are no features in that field to show much movement but even when flying above and near the tree line it doesn't look like I'm moving that fast. However, I'm using this helo more for observing while hovering more than flying like a plane so it is fine for my application.
