Hi all,

I've just bought a Carbon Fibre undercarriage to replace the bent stock wire one on my Cougar2000 funfly. The really nice chap I bought it off agreed with me that the floor pan might need beefing up a little in order for the UC to be properly secured, so he included some carbon cloth for free. My question is whats the best way to put it in, is it with Epoxy or CA, and will it take holes being drilled in it to accept the new UC? I did a search here in RCU but didn't come up with much.

Hi,

I have never used carbon cloth but have just bought some for future use.

I had always assumed it was a stronger alternative to, but used in the same way as, glass cloth ie. with epoxy.

If your investigations turn up a different answer please let me know before I get it all horribly wrong!

Thanks for your reply. Havn't had time to do anything with it yet, but don't want to go overboard with the epoxy for weight reasons. Will post results when I get round to doing it !!
