Backplate Gasket Critical? (15FE)
Hey, is the gasket between the backplate and the crankcase really critical? I melted mine, and none of my local hobby shops have it in stock. My fav. LHS ordered it for me, but it's going to be awhile before I get it and I really want to run my truck!
Thanks

You should have it on there. Do you seal your engines with RTV? If you do then you can get away with it for the time being. Just use some RTV to seal the backplate and let it set real good before starting it.

Well, I could if I knew what it was lol. What's RTV?
Edit: okay, I found it. I've never used it, could I get some at like AutoZone or something?
