Default SAVS Video Interference

When I record video with my new SAVS unit, the recorded video is picking up some type of interference which causes white bands to roll through the picture. I am wondering if anyone else has expericned this problem with their SAVS unit? Any sugguestions for resolving this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The RF interference is probably from other 2.4 gHz devices near your flight area. Try flying in a really isolated area and see if it goes away.

Practicing inside the house I also noticed the same problem.. I found out that the interference came from my WIFI router (Apple's Airport) and my wireless phone. After unplugging them both, viola! -the interference was gone!

Hello there HPN here, just joined this great forum... howdy guys

I've have a TI Pro and SAVS and had the same problems.... but only in the house.
this is when I realized that my cell phone's blu tooth was enabled and causing interference... I shot it off and clear as a bell was the results.

According to my altimeter, this picture was taken at about 550'. Do you think the interference is do to the height or maybe the angle I have my antennas set. Currently, one is set vertically and the other one is in a horizatally positioned. Any ideas to correct this problem would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Now that is a flying high! How do you see that little DF when it's that high?

Try your antennas with one completely horizontal (straight up) and one slightly off horizontal at or less than 45 degrees from horizontal. Do you have them laying on the ground? I've had the best results with them on the gound and in the orientation just described.

Nice flying. As to the interference, does it get worse the higher you fly or was it snowy like your photo from the start. As to the angle of your antennas, I'm not sure really lining one vertical and one horizontal makes a difference so long as they both have line of site to the flyer. Seems since your seeing the video real time, an easy experiment with antenna placement and angle to see if it makes a difference.

Let us know what you find out.

I think you've flown that high before without problems on an open field.. so I'm thinking that you might be flying within range of WI-FI hot spots if this is the first time you encountered the interference flying at that altitude.
